(1985) Police Story.

(In Chinese with English subtitles).

(1985) Police Force.

DUBBED.

ACTION/ COMEDY.

When it comes to the quissential Jackie Chan film, this one would be it! After disagreements with producers on the set of "The Protector", Jackie took the whole policing idea and made this spectacular stunt extravaganza which is said to have the most broken glass in movie history! And because this film was made in 1985 his agility was still in tip top form!

Although the dubbed version called "Jackie Chan's Police Force" in which Jackie trimmed and released in some festival, still holds up quite well, if it's the "version" that has Jackie singing at the end credits. One memorable comedy bit that is not in this dubbed version included a 5 minute comedy bit that involves answering several phones similtaneously at the same time! At the time of this film's release was Jackie's turning point that it was because of this film, Jackie made people sign contracts to never leave him because so many stunt men refused to work with Jackie after completion of this film! That there were some serious injuries as a result of making this film! Some of the highlights includes Jackie sliding down a pole with actual Christmas lights stucking on to it, Jackie's fight involving cars and baseball bats and Jackie jumping from a floor to an esculator! Fast and furious!

4/4.
