This movie was Jackie Chan's pissed off response to Hollywood after failing to make a true "Jackie Chan" movie with American directors. Disillusioned with Hollywood after making "The Protecter", Jackie returned to Hong Kong (where he stayed until Rush Hour) and said THIS is how you make a modern Kung Fu movie.
The result is a pure action masterpiece. It's got it all: the quirky comedy, amazing fights and some of the most dangerous stunts anyone has ever done.
