Review of Police Python 357 (1976) by Bill T — 11 Jan 2011
Unusual remake of "The Big Clock" that really goes everywhere with the movie while having us struggle to follow the plot. Yves Montand is great as the head cop, trying to figure out who killed his on-again/off-again girlfriend.
The cinematography is quite excellent too. Unfortunately, that's it, as the movie takes FOREVER to get going and amuses itself by going in a different direction once we're settled in. It can work in some instances, but in this case not.
