Review of Police Academy 6: City Under Siege (1989) by James M — 17 Jan 2010
Some good moments but this feels a little bit phoned in, apart from Harris who as always gives 110%!! Hooks stands out but some characters - hightower especially - dont get much to do. The mayor is a funny new touch esoecially his "not remembering names of things" comedic touch.
After a lot of films its only natural some of the magic would be fading, but its still a good comedy with some great moments it just aint one of the best police academies. Maybe its down to the fact these are pure 80s films and as the end of the 80s arrived so did the end of one of its most successful franchises.
Plus would it not have been cool to add a line sayin where mahoneys gone? 3 films without him and no mention that maybe hes undercover in mexico or sumthin? Minor quibbles aside if you like the others you will laugh.
...not constantly but you will laugh.
