Review of Police Academy 2: Their First Assignment (1985) by Murder C — 17 Feb 2008
While the first movie had some good jokes about new police recruits playing various pranks on the teachers at the academy. But in the first of six sequels to come the gang from the first movie gets to work as real police officers because of a growing crime wave, but now everything is just over the top.
The police, the criminals, the jokes, the city the movie take place in everything has just gone way into the bizarre with the movie feeling more like a parody movie in the style of "Hot Shots" and it's not even that funny.
If you liked the first movie, you might enjoy this, but it's really not a good comedy.
