Following in the footsteps of I Choose You's break from the trappings of the anime series, The Power of Us is perhaps the best looking of the Pokémon films and takes a strong turn into a focus on more characters and down-to-earth plots than giant Pokémon battles.
Unfortunately it ends up being a snoozer for it's trouble.
