Went to see this tonight with my 7 year old. Look, it's Pokémon, not Shakespeare. You get about what you'd expect.
What I didn't expect is a flashback scene with a Pokémon death and the sort-of-death of a MAJOR character at the end, complete with a friend crying over him. Yes, the power of friendship or whatever nonsense resurrects him... But the five minutes this took was five minutes too long when your kid is sobbing her eyes out. My kid was not the only one in the theater similarly affected.
Ultimately... This is a movie for little kids and is too upsetting for them to watch. Nope. This movie sucks.
