Many seem to have forgotten how this film and indeed the brand itself has inspired and continues to inspire generations of children. Compared to the modern day dribble you see in animated cartoons and films such as 'spongebob-square pants' the deep seated themes of friendship, bravery and adventure are a testement to how animated films SHOULD be made.

Above all of this however, it is astonishing how Satoshi Tijiri has managed to create this completely ficticious and magical world of the cleverly named 'pocket monsters' yet has managed to retain the important factor of allowing the younger viewers to completely relate to the characters in the cartoon and I believe thus having a large positive effect on many childrens childhood, I know this was the case with me and I believe the sales figures of all pokemon related goods speak for themselves and go far enough to show any reader the true scale of popularity that pokemon has on a world wide scale.
