It was bad. However, the original is a favorite movie of mine, so I had to watch it. If you REALLY, REALLY liked the original, you ....still might not like this, as the story is one of the worst written films of the year, maybe longer.

Really bland dialogue and the film is directed by a guy who was a DP so the focus is all on the action and the story could have been done by like a mannequin. The acting except 1 or 2 characters is pretty stuff and nothing good, and like I said the writing was so bad that almost any actor could have given a stuff performance in this and it wouldn't matter.

I could not even pay attention to the film the story was so bad, it felt so disjointed, like there was no life to it. The only redeeming value this film has is the BRIEF moments where it feels like the original and they are BRIEF.

Maybe 5 scenes worth a total of 4 minutes actually felt like point break , and the rest was just bad acting and a bunch of stuns. Should have just been a 25 minute youtube video of stunts, because the rest is mostly a waste of time.

Only watch this if you like bad movies, or the original ALOT, and be ready to fast forward through much of the dialogue because you could fast foward and guess what they might be talking about..and you would be 100% right because thats how bad and cliche the writing is.

Only worth watching was Edgar Ramirez. Fast forward through everything else.
