Review of Point Break (2015) by Alex K — 27 Jul 2013
Incredibly early nineties man movie. Highly cheesy and full of truly ridiculous moments, but quite fun at the same time. The film has a few problems, character wise. Gary Busey's character is kinda forgotten about after he is killed.
It's reflected momentarily, but the movie just moves on and forgets about him. The romantic subplot of the film ends up alright, but could have had a more substantial ending, and Patrick Swayze rides off into the waves at the end and just kinda dies.
He doesn't ride the wave in one last flash of glory. He kinda tries but gets killed. So yeah, not perfect, but its highly enjoyable over the top fun.
