Despite an uneven balance of charisma and bluntness which Reeves provides in the lead role, Point Break benefits from Kathryn Bigelow's thoughtful direction, providing a degree of humanism to the police struggles and an emotional touch.
The lead characters prove to be very likable, with the action and chases proving to be a nice bit of fun between the emotion and hardships.
