Review of Point Blank (1967) by Hunter D — 24 Jan 2008
Not exactly the "say some cool shit then cap some fools" movie I was expecting (which is what the remake "Payback" is) instead this film is an artsy thriller that was way ahead of its time for a Hollywood movie.
Really bizarre and abstract, the movie left me scratching my head at the end and I think most of its more subtle plot points were lost on me (mainly the ones regarding Walker's mental state), but I can't tell if it's the movie's fault or my own.
One thing's for sure, and that is that the movie's different, even by today's standards, and well worth checking out.
