`This is the film Mel Gibson was hoping to duplicate .... Sorry Mel, John Boorman's 1967 crime thriller " Point Blank " and Gibson's 1999 crime caper " Payback " are about criminals shot by there partner's and left for dead, in any case " Point Blank " is one of the best, toughest and most cold-blooded mystery noirs Hollywood has ever made, thanks to my favorite heavie Lee Marin, with a great cast of soon to be stars Angie Dickinson, Carroll O' Connor, James B. Sikking, Lloyd Bochner, and a mix of old pro's like John Vernon and Keenan Wynn and let's not forget 60's prom dream Sharon Acker. Filmed on location at Alcatraz Island, Fort Mason, Bay Area and L.A.
This clssic in now made into DVD .... and one for my collection.
