Review of Point Blank (1967) by Aaron B — 28 Jan 2011
An intriguing piece of 1960s thriller. The "new wave'-inspired editing give it a lot more momentum than other movies from the period, and the sets are great, vivid reminders of the modern dreams of the period.
The bright colours reminded me of Almodovar in many places; presumably, the influence goes the other way around. The characterization is virtually zero, but... well, it's a thriller.
