Review of Poetry (2010) by Ariane L — 24 Jul 2011
To discover true beauty, one must first embrace the "ugliness" of the world around us. Gripping from start to finish; gives viewers a morality hit that will you leave you thinking long after the credits roll.
Director Lee Chang-dong delves into Asian culture and brings to light the ethics, reputations, and family-honor in a modern setting. Truly a work of art, and definitely deserves a second viewing. I daresay one of the best films of 2010.
