A holiday feel good film with Runyanesque characters and a perfect cast led by the grande dame Bette Davis and introducing a 16 year old Ann Margret in her first film. A tour de force performance by Peter Falk won him a nomination for best supporting actor.
A great family film with shmaltz and humor for everyone.
