Review of Ploy (2007) by Jan S — 15 Oct 2008
"Every relationship has an expiration date. Every relationship needs its fantasies...some more real than others...".
I stumbled upon this movie on crunchyroll, read what the watchers say about it and the reactions are mixed. The reason why I still chose to watch it is because of Ananda Everingham's sex scene in the movie. While watching the story unfold, surprisingly, I became interested in the whole film, not just in a single sex scene. Haha!
It's a psychological drama about the effects of jealousy in the behavior of the people involved. As the story progresses, you'll see the changes in the behavior of the couple, how they brought back issues from the past and evaluate the current state of their relationship. It's a nice film for movie enthusiasts. It's not really for watchers who want so much dialogue in a film.
