Generational portrait of 4 stages of woman's life, the prepubescent, the young woman , the matron and the crone set in a new york building, and nobody's happy, yah. cat keener, as almost always, the strong center around which everything turns (and a charmer floridian gal!) is almost almost almost upstaged by the swing-for-the-fences performance of ann morgan guilbert (yep, "millie" of the dick van dyke show!) who has decided to go out taking no prisoners.
