Review of Please Give (2010) by Jason Y — 20 Jun 2010
Please Give is a small movie about some abrasive New Yorkers I hope I never fall into circles with. I was compelled by the film's non-judgmental approach to examining complex characters in everyday situations.
The performances are good, and each character gives you enough to think about even after the film ends - as long as the person you saw it with didn't hate it passionately (then you should avoid all talk of it with that person completely - until they inevitably leave a comment on your RT journal).
