Unlike most films looking at self-obsessed middle class families this one is not filled with highly irritaing naval gazing individuals. Instead you do get some characters that you can care about and empathise with.
Catherine Keener is on top form as the mother who has everything going right in her life and is desperate to give something back, but is weighed down by her own guilty.
