Review of Please Give (2010) by Allen S — 26 Jun 2010
Catherine Keener once again shows that she is one of the greatest contemporary actors in America. She can show more emotion with a cut of her eyes than most can with a monologue. She is paired well with the excellent Oliver Platt as her husband and business partner. Not a comedy, not a drama but elements of both are present in "Please.
Give." As usual, it's not so much about the story with me as the performance of the actors, and right now there isn't a movie out with this kind of quality.
