Review of Please Give (2010) by Karen T — 26 Jun 2010
Nicole Holofcener always populates her movies with people I feel could be my friends. There's not much action, but it's comfortable way to pass a couple of hours. It's nice to see Catherine Keener in a lead role for a change and her relationship with Rebecca Hall, the granddaughter of Keener's elderly (and hilariously frank) neighbor was at first prickly, then ultimately the vehicle for growth and self-acceptance for both characters.
