Review of Please Give (2010) by Janis A — 15 Oct 2010
Clever and yet easy, funny and yet poignant. This film does an incredible job at pointing out the obvious truths in our society while at the same time manages to show us another side of the story. A 91 year old grandma who is a bitch, her 30 something granddaughter who always takes care of her, her sister who is 5 years older and hates her grandma, neighbors who are wife and husband furniture salesman at their own store who scam the children of people who have died, and their 15 year old daughter who has acne problems.
These people all come together, in more than one way, to very nicely depict the struggles and hardships there are in life in a comedic way.
