Review of Please Give (2010) by Jeffrey R — 28 May 2011
There was something about that movie that felt completely modern to me. Contemporary characters with contemporary problems. None of them 100% good. None of them 100% bad. Sounds pretty middle of the road right? Somehow it transcends that vaguery to become a really interesting film that tackles some interesting modern problems.
Plus Oliver Platt and Catherine Keener are great!
