First of all the cast listed here in inaccurate. That being said, this film explores the relationship between a schoolboy (Gregory, played by Petrice Jones) who was acting in a play and who befriended a much older businessman, (James, played by Gareth Jenkins). In parallel to the ensuing friendship between the two men, the director allows the audience to understand the grit and dimension of "Gregory'"s domestic situation, building to a boiling point that prompts a weekend away from home.

Coming of age, sensitive, deep emotional struggle set against a backdrop of Trinidad's rural landscape, up in the hills of Paramin, a community known for farming and Blue Devils (a traditional carnival character). This was captured beautifully and artfully by James Wall, the Director of Photography.

I loved the quietness of the film, perhaps an intentional style by the Director, Maria Govan. This helped set the mood for confused 'Gregory" lost in his thoughts. The film achieves the story being told and builds the momentum and climaxes with powerful imagery. Not to be missed at the Trinidad and Tobago Film Festival. Screening on Sunday 25th September at 6pm) I loved it.
