Eastwood's directorial debut is a knockout. An absolutely amazing film, in which the tension and drama builds to a nearly unbareable level. Then, just as you can't take it any more and the pace seems to have slowed to a halt, the action just erupts and moves at a frantic pace until the climax.
Beautifully written, directed, shot and acted.
