Review of Play It Again, Sam (1972) by Robert B — 16 Jul 2007
I really am drawn to Woody's Allen's work. I usually find his films alright but then instantly want to see them again. They stick with you. This was one of his films I loved from the first viewing.
I love the style of it and I really think a lot of people can relate to wanting to be someone that you admire, especially as a kid, which makes it really funny that a 29-year old still wants to be someone else, in this case as humphrey bogart.
Diane Keaton is really sweet in this role and quite good. Woody Allen plays his usual neurotic and funny personality, which I love.
