This and "Full Metal Jacket" are both films no DVD collection should be without.
Oliver Stone adds another Classic to his Extroadinary Filmography as well as delivering some truly great characters in an unbelievably star studded cast.
I suppose that the biggest thing that comes to mind when viewing this movie is the music, The theme from "Platoon is so epic & so sad it captures all the intensity of the war, so much so that it makes everything you see so much larger than life as well as bleak and haunting.
Final Verdict: Truly incredible with Perfect Execution, "Platoon" just feels like something too big to fit on a simple television screen.
