Review of Platoon (1986) by Cameron F — 09 Feb 2015
This winner for 4 oscars including best picture shares certain similarities with Apocalypse Now and Full Metal Jacket.
1. Apocalypse Now and Platoon both star Martin and his son Charlie sheen and have them narrating, oh and they don't want to go to war.
2. Both Full Metal Jacket and Platoon involve not only killing but getting ambushed by their targets.
Now I'll say these 3 have equal amount of action,they are both gritty,devastating,and both leading men are at their best.
