Rodriguez's addition to "Grindhouse" seems a digestion of, and homage to the zombie sub-genre. This movie is more in keeping with the idea of spectacle, which I believe is the core of the "grindhouse experience.
" While it's not the most high-brow entertainment, it manages to, at the very least, entertain.
