Review of Planet Terror (2007) by Amjad A — 14 Jul 2013
Planet Terror, which is one of two films in the Grind-House feature, (along with Death-Proof), is a crazy and outrageous feature which will have B grade film fans cheering all way through.
An outrageous and brilliant exploitation flick, filled with whacky violence, overt blood and gore, unusual camera angles and cheap editing. It's such a unique film which is very different from Death-Proof.
McGowan is the highlight as she has such a strong presence on screen and played her part brilliantly, and I loved the whole "machine gun leg" concept. It was just so sick and twisted, yet incredibly stylised, unique and brilliant. A great film by Robert R, as he continues to prove he is a provocative and engaging film-maker.
