Review of Planet Hulk (2010) by Simeon M — 12 Feb 2010
Planet Hulk is very well done and the best Marvel Animated film to date.
It's strength is the storyline, staying pretty faithful to the Planet Hulk comic series. Hulk is exiled to an alien planet, is captured and forced to fight in a gladiatorial arena. This gives him plenty of opportunities to smash the crap out interesting alien opponents. There's some really nicely choreographed fights in here. It's basically "Gladiator" but with the Hulk and an alien planet instead of Rome. It fit Hulk so well, that I can't believe no-one thought of this before! The Warbound group is a pretty unique set of characters too, I really enjoyed them.
Oh, and no whiny Bruce Banner here. Bruce Banner isn't even in the movie! (a very good choice on their part). This is a totally different Hulk than you've ever seen before.
