Even though this film is hailed as a holiday classic, I couldn't help but be consistently annoyed by john candy's character's ridiculously idiotic actions. I felt so much pity for steve martin's character, even if he was a bit cold and humorless at the beginning of the movie.
the pair get themselves into a ridiculous adventure of holiday traveling, with everything going wrong that can go wrong. even though bumbling del griffith was quite painful to watch at times, I still enjoyed the end very much.
