Review of Planes, Trains and Automobiles (1987) by Jason R — 25 Nov 2011
This is one of my favorite comedys ever and it has the bars to prove it. I love John Candy, and I love Steve Martin. There'll never be another movie like it, but u can really appreciate what it did. John Hughes has created so much over the years, and ppl often refer to "The Breakfast Club" and such as his crowning acheivments. There are a lot of high school comedy films, and that sub genre of comedy will always has its place. But never will we be able to see a movie as simple and innovtive as this grace the silver screen again. It was a laff riot and beautiful. The ending will leave u with a warm feeling inside, reminding u of the value of the obnoxious friends u have and love, and the obnoxious friends u will make and appreciate. This is a Thanksgiving adventure about two men, a marketer and a bathroom curtain ring salesman, traveling to chicago to make it home to their families. It's a killer movie, please see it now. If u cant make time for movie like this then what the hell are u doing with urself?
"Im a million dollars short of being a millionaire.".
