A truly spectacular movie that delves deep into the characters' psyches...but what else would you expect from the late, great John Hughes? Top notch acting from John Candy and Steve Martin. Numerous scenes were funny enough to put me in stitches (the rental car scenes comes to mind).
The plot was totally unpredictable; you know these two characters will become friends, but you have no idea how it's going to be played out. The way it is played out is refreshing and genuinely thought-provoking.
The social commentary is great! Would definitely watch it again.
