Solid and harmless 80s comedy. It's interesting to see Steve Martin play a pretty unsympathetic character. The late John Candy has the better and showier role. There are some laughs sprinkled throughout but overall I didn't think it was on the same level with some other holiday movies like Christmas Vacation.
The secretary from Ferris Bueller probably has the best line in the movie.
