Review of Planes, Trains and Automobiles (1987) by Nick M — 30 Mar 2011
There comes a movie where you feel like you are honestly part of it. The acting in it was so believable you honestly felt like it was really happening just a camera was rolling coincidently. This movie takes you on a journey that tops all extreme road adventures and in my opinion always will.
Besides being absolutely comical it shows excellent character development and done in a way as the movie progresses so does the more deep things about candy/martin appear. Now towards the end you are feeling for these characters almost as there coming home for your thanksgiving dinner, then finally we reach the biggest truth of candy and it just leaves anyone with a soul in shambles.
I honestly think this IS Hughes best movie, although boasting some strange not entirely needed scenes I still say it is his best.
