Review of Planes, Trains and Automobiles (1987) by Johnny T — 24 Apr 2011
Very funny film to showcase the idiosyncrasies of Steve Martin with the lovable talkative slob John Candy. Classic slapstick and witty film that shows two people getting into mischief and worse case scenarios just to go to Chicago to be with the family during the holidays. It's been done before with similarities of Laurel and Hardy, as well as the same personalities clashing like Felix and Oscar.
One of the best golden films from John Hughes before he sold out to Home Alone sequels.
