Review of Planes, Trains and Automobiles (1987) by Robert M — 03 Jan 2016
Quite easily the best Steve Martin/John Candy film I've seen. For some reason, I couldn't really get into Martin's role in the movie The Jerk, but Candy has always been a good one, especially in one my favorite classic slapsticks known as Spaceballs.
This was definitely a good road trip comedy almost quite as good as Dumb and Dumber. This film would also have to mark as one of my favorite comedies with heart, as the movie did have some good moments minus the laughter.
With the humor though, it was quite hilarious for it's time (never new "F***" was used so much around then"). It's definitely one fun ride with two of the most famous 80s actors with one of the best parts being the trip itself.
