Review of Planes: Fire & Rescue (2014) by Adam R — 05 Feb 2016
Judge not a video by its cover.
Dusty Crophopper is a legendary racer until his gear box is ruined. He now has a governor of sorts that keeps his engine from blowing. He decides to retire from racing and join a fire and rescue academy. He finds it more challenging than he anticipated.
"Fly under and pull out.".
Roberts Gannaway, director of Stitch! The Movie, Mickey's Around the World in 80 Days, Leroy and Stitch, and Secret of Wings, delivers Planes: Fire & Rescue. The storyline for this is above average and contains some cool and unique sequences. The animation was awesome and I enjoyed the selected voices. The voices include Dane Cook, Ed Harris, Hal Holbrook, Curtis Armstrong, and Julie Bowen.
"Shut the hanger door.".
My daughter received this for Christmas a couple years ago from her grammy and we finally watched it. This was good and we thoroughly enjoyed it. This wasn't perfect, but the Fire & Rescue premise was unique and entertaining. I enjoyed this more than Planes and recommend seeing this once.
"He waxes himself daily.".
Grade: C+.
