Review of Planes: Fire & Rescue (2014) by Randy E — 19 Jul 2014
I said last year that the first PLANES felt like a direct-to-video spinoff of CARS. The sequel still has that direct-to-video feel, but I liked it better than the first. Instead of the race setting of the first, we go into forest fires and a group of airplanes who fight them every day. There are many characters and some jokes that make you smile. Nothing really big happens here, but there is more danger that will keep kids on their toes. The scenes of the planes fighting the fires are well animated. It's a new setting, some new characters, but the same old PLANES.
Grade: B.
