Review of Plan 9 from Outer Space (1957) by Jesse G — 30 Apr 2010
It's all been said before. "So bad you have to see it." "Unintentionally hilarious." "Briliantly stupid." Like it or not, this movie is one of a kind, and it really defines the career of Ed Wood as someone who was highly ambitious, but terribly overmatched.
This film is his crowning achievement, and easily one of the best bad movies ever made. All throughout, the inconsistiencies had me laughing my butt off. The random day/night transitions and Bela Lugosi switchings are so obvious that I just started laughing.
Again, this movie is very notorious, but it's still somehow entertaining in all its horrendous glory. A must-see.
