Review of Plan 9 from Outer Space (1957) by Seth J — 27 Feb 2012
Infamously declared as the worst movie ever made, Plan 9 From Outer Space concerns a gang of space aliens trying to conquer the Earth with an army of zombies. Director Ed Wood tells this story with cardboard sets, flying saucers held aloft with visible string, and stock footage of the recently deceased Bela Lugosi.
(Remaining shots of Lugosi's character were made by having some guy lurk about with a cape covering his face) This film has an awkward pace, choppy editing, a mountain of continuity problems, and some of the lamest dialogue ever written.
So, if one is interested in an ironically hilarious movie night, Plan 9 is a prime candidate.
