Review of Plan 9 from Outer Space (1957) by Michael M — 27 May 2012
Not nearly as terrible as it's reputation would have you believe. Plan 9 is not a good film, that much I can say with a clean conscience. But really, if you look past the painfully prevalent fact that this movie is a low-budgeted shlockfest, its an OK film.
It reads a lot like an early 60s comic book. It's campy, it's oblivious to it's own stupidity, and gets off on simple science-fiction and subpar horror. Ed Wood called it his pride and joy, and I'm inclined to believe him.
