Review of Places in the Heart (1984) by Dylan D — 01 Jul 2006

Even though I thought this was a really good movie, I found myself to be somewhat dissapointed. The story was just so inspiring but I think the director could have done a lot more things with this. It kind of had 2 stories instead of one which I didn't like.

I wished they stuck with Sally Field's character and not Ed Harris'. The only reason that I don't give this 5 star is because of the ending which confused me. But beside that I think that Sally Field deserved the Academy Award because she was great.

Places in the Heart is a worthwhile film although it may not suit everybody's taste.
