Review of PK (2014) by Kunal J — 09 Oct 2015
PK is light hearted, funny yet emotional movie depicting the beliefs that we hold to GOD. An ET lands on planet Earth and faces a challenge to get back a Remote which is the only way for him to connect back to his folks in other planet and recall them back to take him away. TO find out the remote, he embarks his journey meeting people and understands every possible thing. But the one thing that completely gets out of his mind and he cannot bear is the idea of GOD. Who is GOD? What is he doing? is there anyone off that sought who really exists?
Aamir Khan once again strikes the cord with a highly immersive performance of the titular character. Anushka Sharm and others give a light hearted breeze and don't spoil the folly. But the end credits would certainly go to the director Raju Hirani for his knack of directing a film which holds a pinch of laughter, emotion and a message for people to take back.
Certainly it would count as one of the best movies of the year 2014, and the decade as well.
