What were people expecting from this? Yes, it's dumb. Yes, some of the jokes are a tad too lowbrow. But it's still Adam Sandler's most entertaining film in years. The visuals are good, the concept is fun and the cast (particularly Peter Dinkleage and Josh Gad) are clearly committed.
Obviously, there are flaws. Some of the gags miss the mark, and not all of it is entirely plausible. But for all its shortcomings, Pixels is a decent film with some funny ideas and flashy visuals.
