Ridiculously bad, unfunny and overlong, Pixels is just another Adam Sandler delivery that brings the cash to its studio by ripping off its audience. Cheerful to a level that it would annoy you, this family-oriented action-comedy has little to offer to the different groups of audiences and the only potential group of viewers that might actually enjoy the movie are minors.

The concept could actually be considered an intriguing one as it brings old memories of the late 80's/early 90's arcade games while trying to exploit the modern concept of aliens attacking Earth and willing to destroy mankind. The problem is that neither the performances (especially Sandler!), nor the story are at level that would make Pixels an enjoyable late-summer flick. Chris Columbus' delivery simply cannot escape from the "Adam Sandler"- label and his presence is actually poisonous to the whole concept. The only positive thing I could actually think of is the presence of Peter Dinklage as Eddie "The Fire Blaster" Plant, a former gamer-turned-hacker who is released from prison in order to help save the world.

In conclusion, Pixels is a movie which would just be remembered, or actually quickly forgotten, as one of the many Adam Sandler's deliveries that are not worth being seen unless you have nothing to do and you are ready to waste 106 minutes from your life.
