Review of Pixels (2015) by Peter M — 16 Jan 2016
This was a great concept and could've been made into a great movie, hadn't it fallen into the hands of the crew over at Happy Madison. Pixels is easily one of Sandler's worst written films as well as one of his worst acted.
There is no physical support from the cast as well, with the performances of Monaghan, Cox, Dinklage and Kevin James, especially, in general being lackluster at best. Pixels feels like a made for dvd movie, or one of those movies you would find in the Netflix B movie section and you would probably skip over.
Pixels is not worth your money, your time or, to be honest, anything. I felt like I was watching a movie that someone made for Youtube and nearly cried, no joke, at how horrifying these performances were.
Who allows this garbage to be put into theatres? If I have one wish for Sandler, it would be for him to please stop making movies that will just waste my time. If you're thinking of watching Pixels I would suggest that you rather go outside and watch the grass grow, or stare at a wall for two hours, because that will have more entertainment value.
