Review of Pitch Perfect 3 (2017) by Chad A — 06 Jan 2018

This was a great Pitch Perfect movie! It was everything that I expected and wanted going into this film. I thought they wrapped the story nicely. At first, I was upset about the dismissal of Skylar Astin.

However, Guy Burnet was a great additional it worked well for the new dynamic. Thank you to the directors and producers for knowing their fan base, making subtle but non-obvious call backs to old jokes.

..calling Cloe, blowie. Throwing a burrito at Amy. Saying crushed it. Keeping riff offs, the team vs team aspects. The beautiful call out to naming the baby Bella. Song in the van. Amy running jokes. I could go on and on.

It was a great movie for the fans. And of course, the song selection was amazing. I saw it in theaters 3 times :-) Unlike another franchise (helmed by Kathleen Kennedy), this movie truly understood their fans, what they love about the characters, songs and what made Pitch Perfect special.

Thank you so much for the great movie! It will watch with our family over and over once the DVD comes out :-) This movie is one thing that everyone in my family can bond over - sister, cousins, parents, aunts, uncles, etc.
